91z28 vs 04 jetta gls??
So ive been arguing with everyone i know that my old z28 woulda beat my 04 1.8t jetta. The z was auto 305 magnaflow exhaust and lil stuff like upgraded cap n rotor msd wires and plugs n stuff no cat. Im pretty sure the z was faster but im not sure it had more power/tourqe then the jetta but everyones just saying that i just cant drive n ****. The jetta has a 3in DP and 2.5in straight pipe side exhaust and a intake and a forge knock off DV. Thats it. Which do u think would win? stock the z was like 205 and 300 ftlbs (correct me if im wrong) and the jetta is 180hp and 174ftlbs. I know if i chip it n get a FMIC the jetta would smoke the z but thats not now.

was it a TPI 305?

my old 305 tpi with exhuast and 3.73 rear beat most cars from a stop...like little 4 bangers like a jetta

Stoplight to stoplight you'd take the Jetta, a 1/4 mile race would be a loss for you me thinks.

yea thats what i thought to this lil jetta moves up top it just spins 1st and half of second yea it was a 305 tpi it had stock 2:73s in the rear had lsd tho jetta spins both if the ebrakes locked haha

I have raced 2 1.8 turbo jettas and I have beaten them both. One was an auto the other was a stick. The auto wasn't even much of a challenge but the kid with the stick car gave me a pretty good run. I wouldn't worry to much.
