So my friend and I are very competitive and like to talk smack about our cars and guess on who is going to win in a race.
My Car:
1986 Chevy Camaro IROC-Z28
5.0L V8 305 TPI
No posi...
190 HP
285 ft/lb torque
All stock except-ProFlo Cat-Back and a shift kit.
Also the engine was re-manufactured 30k miles before I bought now 36k on engine, assuming just stock stuff, so probably doesn't matter.
His Car:
2000 Pontiac Firebird
3.8L V6
posi
200 HP
225 ft/lb torque
Everything is stock except-80 Series Flowmaster
Can someone tell me the winner!? I am assuming the Camaro will because of the specs, but it is older and maybe it won't shift as good or what but lets leave the preliminary decision to all of you and the actual facts to the straight up race.
I would assume you would take him. HP difference is minimal and you have a good amount more tq. Going from a dig (if you can hook that is) you should have no problem. A roll should be fairly close, but you should still get him. I've personally never raced a 6cyl so I can't tell you for sure, but I know they are no powerhouse. I myself have the same car (86 Iroc) so I'm hoping you will win!! Good luck
Yea, I was thinking driver ability will come into play and if that's the thing I have it. He doesn't like to push his car to the max, but on the other hand I do because hey what's the point of having it if you aren't going to play with it?
