Well yesterday not a kill, but a tie I'd say. I came into a cloverleaf on ramp behind a new vette that sill had the dealer sticker in the window. I was probably 50 feet behind him and he got into it in the corner. I kept it in second and gained a lot of ground in a hurry. When we came out of the corner I was 10 feet behind him. When we got onto the freeway he moved one lane over to my left, slowed down til I got next to him and he looked over and gave me a thumbs up.
Guess all those years of autocrossing and the work on chassis and supsension paid off. I have no doubt though if the driver in the vette had some training he would have walked away from me in a big hurry. But..............was still nice to hang with him like that

That's about the only losses I can think of that were legit races. Of course I've had the civics and Mustangs go fly by me on the highway that never lined up with me. There are slim pickin's for races from where I'm from though. I usually get all my racing done on the track.
I used to have a Holden Commodore SS with the LS1 you are so familiar with (it is kind of like a 4 door version of your Pontiac GTO - which is actually a Holden Monaro). It was modified for 417rwhp and ran 11.89 on the quarter mile.
Unfortunately I don't have the car anymore, but I racked up quite a body count in it....

My tub is running it's best. This is test and tune remember so no one is really racing. I'm just concentrating on cutting a good light and checking my time slips for 60' and et.
There's a new Mustang doing some tuning too.
I'm not thinking about him at all until we're at the stripe and he goes FLYING past me.
What's cool is I managed a 1.75 60' to his 2.158.
I finished with a 12.778 at 105 to his 12.79 at 118! Hole shot for me.
Driving through the pits I caught a quick peek at his supercharged set up. Probably 200hp more than me ( I'm 285rwhp off the dyno ).
Have to say I thought it was worth reporting.

-[update] lol just added 2 stangs to the list......not exactly real races or wins, but i thought it was exciting. we played for a bit, a 91 5.0 and a newer convertable in front of him, both kept revving their engines and picking up quick, and looking alot. too much traffic to play. so we got too a red light and there was people in front of us. i hit the gas and peeled out for like 5 or 6 seconds, didnt move at all, just to show off.....the newer mustang didnt want to play anymore. they didnt even move from the line. as soon as we got a chance the older stang tried to get next to me and pass, but i got in front of him, downshifted and watched him say bye bye in my mirror lolol. the best part is, the older stand revved his engine at me earlier in the day in a parking lot, only for me too meet up with him later that day on the streets
I want to hit the tracks and see what i can do there. dual exhaust coming as soon as i get running right again

Cobalt SS, some old guy reeved up on me at the light i had 3 of my cousins with me and so they were like race him blah blah and so i did and i got him from the jump but long run he caught up n spanked me..
Subaru WRX impreza raced him 3 times, hes beat me twice but very close each time..he gets me at high speeds each time, and i always get him from the jump.
update::i just realized the two times ive lost its been to a supercharged or turbo charged car...hmmm doesnt me feel any better but ehh lol funny coinsedence

hahaha. this reminds me of the other day, 2 mustangs, a newer convertable, and an older 5.0 driving together, the newer one in front. i pulled up next to them and they both were staring, and revving at me, and doing little pulls, we couldn't go anywhere because there was too much traffic in front of us, so i played with them for a bit. we finally got to a light but still had traffic in front of us. when the light turned green, i lit the tires up for a good few seconds not even moving from my spot, just to show off lol. the newer mustang wouldn't even move from the line, they just stared with their mouths open, so i took off and got in front of them, the other mustang followed me, and a lane opened up for a good run, he was about to try and pass me and i pulled into the empty lane in front of him, down shifted, and left him really fast. he never caught up :P

Funniest SH** ever. A F ing PRIUS tried to take me on my way home from work the other day. I wasn't paying attention, and he took off from a light as we got to the next one he looked beck at me and lurched forward. So at the next light I let him take off for a couple car lengths, then killed him in about 3 seconds. Also got a newer Grand Cherokee a couple weeks ago.
Luckily for me I live in a town where everyone thinks it's cool to turn diesels into mud trucks (that also drag race )

only had my third gen for about 3 months with the usual mods.. my only street loss out of about 4-5 races was am 05ish maxima.. from a stop-70 with exhuast and cold air.. but i was stock at the time.. but it was a good race i was suprised
- stock 10 bolt rear end, broken on the very first track run since the swap ( ) .... it is fixed and put back together now though, saving for an 8.8 now
-'91 Z28 with LS1/4L60E swap, a good friend of mine owns the car. I don't know the cam specs, but it's a healthy size mid-high range cam, with supporting mods (custom mid length headers, cat-less true dual exhaust, LS6 intake, 3,600 stall, etc). I ran him on the highway from 60mph till probably around 100-105 and put what looked to be about 3 or 4 cars on him.
- stock 2000 Z28 automatic, cat back exhaust and a lid I believe are the only things done to it... wasn't even a race really, more like a waste of gas for me
-2001 or 2002 Z28, M6, big cam (specs similar to mine, not sure of the exact numbers though), and a few supporting mods... ran him from 55mph to roughly 100mph and put 3 car lengths on him... car owner is a friend of a friend, didn't know jack about my car, and was very suprised.
-2004/3 Corvette Z06, full exhaust, unsure of any other mods, ran 3rd gear and beginning of 4th due to traffic, he was at my rear quarter panels
-late '90's / early '00's V-Tec Acura Integra.... have no clue what was done to it, don't need to know because I put a hurting on him
-2001-ish Mustang GT, sounded good but don't they all? Probably just a full exhaust, stock GT...spanked him in a stop light race, he wouldn't even look over at me at the next light.

In my 89 firebird I had a 355 with a Scat crank and rods, forged flat top pistons, Soild roller cam (565/565) lift. 3600 stal. shift kit. 323 gears. Raced a richmond dragway on a Fridaynight street race. I won all my races but one. The one I lost still bugs me. The class I run you can't go faster than 12:80, my car on street tires run it's best run ever at 12:82 at 109. The reason I was mad is the car I raced had a monster 440 mag. way faster than the 12:80 limit, but he only ran once. I am not going to tell how fast he went, but I wiil say this, He let me get out about 100feet, and when I looked in the mirror all that I saw was oil pan.He went buy me so fast my car moved from the air as he passed. His MPH 148.
My 87 IROC 5.7 350 all stock that is making 225 hp at the flywheel. Currently is running in a sort of limp mode because of injectors or something like that maybe bad MAF. Raced this 08 Dodge Durango that makes 305 hp down a two lane street that turns into one. Had about a car length on him at about 60 mph where it turns into one lane but wasnt enough room to pass so I had to hit the brakes. Not a holy crud kill but a kill nonetheless.

2000+ Dodge Ram - I was in a 3-lane road at a red light on the side of the freeway on the outter most lane which turned into 2 lanes. Once the light turned green, he knew I'd wanna pass him up so he gunned it; I did as well and did a nice burn out and still sling shotted ahead of him by about 8-10 car lengths. After yielding a right turn I looked in my rear view mirror and saw come up behind me and fly past me (race was over). No wonder dodge stands for Drip Oil Drip Gas Everyday .

i dont have to many but i beat a 2010 challenger the other day (the v6 one that still makes 50hp more than me, o and he was a sales man haha) and i lost to my buddies 05 stang before the trans was rebuilt so ill have to have a rematch
