traction on the street

i get in countless races cruising fridays and saturdays. lately i haven't been able to get traction at all and its hurt me alot. i can barely get on it or im spinning then after i ease off and try to stomp on it the engine doesn't shift like a want it to. it happened last week with a brand new turbo eclipse i raced, light went green i sit there and spun side by side with him and finally pulled ahead when i let off and got traction then romped on it again. it was too close i should have smoked him by alot more, any quick suggestions on a good, fast launch? running 245/50r16 goodyear eagle hp's all around (decent condition)

ive been having the same problem lately. drag radials might be the answer, but i think because is winter, and the ground is alot colder, that we're having traction problems. tires hook better when theyre warm, and this is nearly impossible with cold asphault. Can anyone offer any other suggestions?

- hard to believe, but its actually 100% bone stock also!

Agreed. Drag radials will solve most of your traction problems on the street.
