Yea...I'm lucky

Can't get a lot luckier than this. I got pulled over the other nite for (1) speeding, and got let off with a warning. However, there were a few other things that he coulda got me on. (2) had a headlight burnt out, (3) no registration with me, (4) taillight covers, (5) neon lights, (6) exhaust doesn't exit the car far enough, (7) car is too loud, (8) no seatbelt, and (9) tach on the dash (obstruction on vision). And all this, let off with a warning. What do you think?

u bastard

I get pulled over in the summer on a regular basis. about 10-15 times a year. Not for speeding, i do that on highway or lone country roads , but for cheking out the car. Legally speaking, if its mine, not stolen, if i drank, if i have guns under my seats, or like i once had the balls 2 say to the officers. "Sure while your at it, check out the dead protitue in my trunk!"

The first year i had my car, i was 19, on 1 night, my budy and i were cumming back from downtown Montreal, I swear we were just cruising ! like 20-30 km an hour, when a 5.0 stop in front of us, I mean skidded, then a police van on my driver side, sidewalk on the other, and police cars in the back. They told us to shut it off, step out and put our hand on the roof. After searching us, and the GTA , they apologize and told us a drug dealer had a similar camaro.... Dammm check the car out more next time

I dare anybody to beat that story! :lala:

A tach on the dash is obstruction of vision, yet a 5" cowl hood is legal. Makes no sense. I had a 4" on my Mustang and that was rough sometimes.

i got one that will rival your story

it wasn't me but my friend was pulling into his driveway and just got stopped and turned his ignition off and then heard someone yell "FREEZE!" and turned to look to his left and looked straight up a gun barrel! The cop mistook him for someone who stole a car and was real nice to him after he saw it wasn't the criminal.

If all these stories are true you can take legal action against your state. Remember everyone, the police do NOT have the right to search your car, search you, or harrass you in any way unless you (1) Give them your permission, or (2) you are under arrest. 95% of the time cops are pulling us (sports car owners) over for no reason at all. If you did something wrong, admit it to the cop. If you did nothing wrong and are being harrassed, contact a lawyer...and be sure to get information like who the cop is (they sign messy so you cant tell) and exactly what their rank is.

I was pulled over before for no reason, asked why and the cop said I was "going a little fast" I asked "how fast?" He couldnt give me an exact speed, and then asked me if he could search my car. When I said no the cop started to give me a big speech. While he was talking I pulled out a pen and paper and asked him his name, rank, and the name of his supervisor. He told me and then started to tell me he was sorry, and this and that, he didnt want to waste any more of my time.

You just cant let cops walk all over you...or THEY WILL!!

-peace

Speaking of nitrous, does anyone know specific laws for nitrous on the street?

yea... i believe third gens are one of the best type of car for a sleeper nitrous setup, the spare tire well would make and excellent bottle mounting location, and with the under manifold system that NOS offers, they wouldnt know what hit em

Well I was turning on my way home one night listening to my protable scanner adn then all the sudden a cop turns on his lights pulls me over comes up gun drawn and cocked(BTW my G/F was in the pass seat as a witness) Anyway this cops comes up yelling turn off the car and get out slowly. I turn off the car, lights ect. get out. Put your hands on the roof. Ok... I ask whats going on? He says this car has been reported stolen. I say it's my car, and I ask to retreive my wallet. he allows me to get out my registration, he takes it and looks over it. I ask him if he wants me to read hm the VIN number as I am looking at it. he says ok. Read it, confirmed it was my car. Then as the cop was just starting to appologize he stated that just minutes ago he ran my plates and they came back as stolen. I said WTF? I have a scanner and you did no such thing. I pull out the scanner and I have him radio in to make sure I do have his freq, I do.

I then ask for his name rank ect.. he blurbs something out gets in his car and speeds off. I get the Plate and call the dispatch. From the dispatch I get the local PD hes from. The duty sargent gives me the info of the officer that was assigned to that car that night. I call the court house the next day and see what can be done. They direct me to the DA's office. I file harrasment charges. Go to court and the cop denies everything. I then bring in my G/F somehow he did not see her(she is short) but anyway the DA wants to nail this guy as it seems this is not the first time that this has happened but no one else had the balls to go through with the charges. Judge imediately suspends without pay until it goes to trial. 2 weeks later trial. Cop gets fired dishonorably and can never work in civil service again. Who says judges are all bad?...

I hate cops! evry time I see them run red lights, turn w/no signal and speed without their lights on,I jot down thier cruiser #,time & location to report them, however minor it may be. sure the calls may not hurt them, but I'm sure they don't like the attention. they are hipacrits and deserve to be subject to the same consequences that they impose on people for the same types of traffic offences.

and never let them search your car, they have no need....unless you really have a dead prostitute in the trunk!

I seen a cop who was waiting at a red. It was a long red, so he flciked on the lights, went through and drove along with traffic at normal speed for a good 15 minutes.

Another time a cop flys by me with his lights on, 5 min later he turns into a dunken donuts and turns his lights off.
