Well, I'm sure you guys will post the results after it, but if you get a great turn out and I get a great turn out, what do you say about us getting something together maybe for 2004?

Why not Memorial Day Weekend? That gives any US people the option to come on a long weekend for them and we are presuming that the Canadian members will likely be either within the GTA or the horseshoe so it isn't a huge drive? It would be a good way to kick of the year. Just a thought.

Good luck on Mem. Day, a lot of us Americans make plans with family on that day. Just something to think about, if you want americans coming. I know I'm not planning mine on that day.

A pre summer long weekend would be great because we wouldnt have to worry about a scorcher day with hot air. And like you said not as busy at the track. But turn out numbers might not be as high? Whats everyone else think?

As for you Mark *** Hields, I think ours is now a 101 car gathering

24 weekend???? May would be perfect! Like you said nice and cool. Great for camping and for running the cars. Bing camp ground has a great group area. It would probably accomidate all of us. If not we could get more sites. It is also a bit closer to Cayuga than the falls. What do ya think?

Actually. Just thought of something. Most provincial parks don't allow drinking on long weekends. So as for us drinkers...long weekend is a bad idea. Just a thought!

we tryed a meet on May long weekend (this year) and there was very little people that turned out. long weekend suck for planning some kind of meet. roads are too busy hotels are booked other thing are going on. it was also COLD that day too.

if you are going to plan for a hole weekend thing mid summer would be warmer at night.

my vote is for a first week in july or aug

Yeah. Your right trigger. I agree. What about June? It's not too hot out yet. To be honest, this was Daz's idea we should allow him final say...No??

My goal is to have a gathering that combines us (Ontario) and the NEThirdgen members..Ive been to many of their gatherings and theyre cool..I think the Robin's idea of being on a May holiday would be good cause there are no ohter gatherings planned..They have a Macgathering and the LV gathering and a bunch of mini gathering on the side..Im not saying that their gathering isbetter but their gathering are already established..Besides the colder weather would result in better time ..Lets show our american friends how we party in the cold..If the vast majority really doesnt want it in May maybe the next long weekend in June...Ideal IMO is May and make June an alternative..Whats date is the long weekend in June anyway??All in all majority rules

Not to sound like a alcholic..but you can't drink on long weekends at most campgrounds. Just something to keep in mind!

Thats what I was thinking but you can make a vacation out of it. Theres casinos and bars aplenty and all that tourist crap. Plus go see the falls if your with your woman... hopefully things like that will bring more people in than any other average track spot.

Yes. I have to agree with Greg. Niagara Falls is a great place to take a vacation. You name it, we got it! Casinos, Museums, stripclubs (if your into that) Lots to do and see! I live 10 minutes away. I have for almost 30 years now. I always go back. There is always something new! Never mind the fact of the Falls itself. If you haven't seen these in person, you are missing out. Pictures just don't do the Falls justice. In the summer, every Friday night they have a great fireworks display. Cruz Cliffton Hill and the lane. There are lots of shopping opertunities for the ladies/guys. You can also cross the river, and go visit Buffalo New York. I could go on forever with what this area has to offer for a big gathering. I know everyone would have a good time. Lets do it! Now I am getting excited!!!

I also like the Falls plus on weekends there tends to be gathering of nice cars all over. They also basically catagorize themselves (ie. Ricers, mustangs, drag etc.) All we'd have to do is pick a parking lot and show off our good stuff! You can always cruize around a PEOPLE FILLED AREA. Plus there are lots of accomidations and activities to do!!

Either way tell me a date and I will have me Car ready!

Sunday evenings are drag night in Niagara Falls. We race almost all night, Police pending of course. Lots of fast cars in these parts. One word of caution. The police here don't take no sh$t! Driving like a moron on Lundys lane will get you a $$$ BIG ticket. If we are to try to make this a annual get together Then we need to be on our best behavior. This way the regional area will welcome us, not kick us out. So... any good ideas for a date. Sounds like Late May/ early June is the consencous? Just looking at a 2003 calendar now. June 6-8? the 13-15 is fathers day weekend. Or how about June 20th-22nd. Either would probably be good?
