woohoo subframes are going in friday!

I met a guy last week at a little camaro meet who told me he was a mechanic at this welding shop. I started asking him whether or not he could weld in my SFCs and he told me to talk to his boss.

Gave his boss a call, I told him I have MAC SFCs, I want them welded in. He told me without seeing them he doesn't know how hard they will be to put in, but he said I'm looking at around $75 for the labour.

Does anybody know anything about MAC SFCs? Do you just weld them on and you're set? Or do you have to take off the exhaust and all this other shiet? How hard is it?

Just put them on and weld! Thats why MAC are popular. No b/s. Oh, and cheap too! Well, they used to be.

I have yet to see a set of SFC's that you can't just put in place and weld.

Daves right, except for steve spohns (his new design of sfc is probly the best bang for you buck out there). kenny brown sfcs look similiar to spohns and you might be able to just drop those on. global wests, maybe? Those are all tubular so they allow bends around exhaust/cats etc.

Make sure they've actually done this before and that they know to do it on a drive on ramp or something similar. You don't want to take you're car to some hacker just save a dollar or two.

well believe me they are just that simple..... the straight one just welds up and the bent one just goes over top of the cats and weld.. just that simple... the only thing is though I didn't feel any difference at all...If you have T-Tops get them but if you don't.Don't worry about it... because it will make no difference.

They had to bend down my cat a little bit to fit the one side in, but otherwise it was straight forward. $75 is a good price.
