Engine rebuild advice

I have an 87 GTA, had 350 TPI (engine damaged). I just got an engine from an 89 Camaro not seized but didnt listen to it.
I want to rebuild the engine to around 300 - 350 HP, my question is if I were to rebuild the engine with that much more power do I need to change anything on my stock setup?
I already have:
23lbs injectors new
headers, magnaflow exhaust
cold air intake
GM performance prom
Awesome type R wing

Re: Engine rebuild advice

Everytime I ask about getting the engine rebuilt to 300+ HP spec Im told I need some kind of fuel managment system to have the engine run properly( accel harness, comp, injectors, dist).
I dont understand why, Im only asking 300+ HP not 700+.
I would think worse case would be upgrade my injectors and reprogram my prom and maybe fuel pump.
Am I wrong?

Re: Engine rebuild advice

Funny thing is talkin gto every rebuilder so far they tell me I HAVE to upgrade my intake and injectors.
My engine wont reach the 300 HP with the intake and injectors I have which are stock, the engine itself would be but wouldnt perform at that.
Anyone here build up an engine to 300+ HP with stock intake, no special upgrades to your intake or aftermarket harness?
Im even told that even just camming the engine wont help me gain anything either and its just not worth it.
I dont get it...

Re: Engine rebuild advice

It is very hard to get a stock TPI to 300hp, they are TQ set-up's not HP

I have done it, but its pricey
