The Elusive LS Motor

I've been poking around now for some time in a wild hunt for an LSx style motor. I'd definetely prefer used and am willing to travel most of southern ontario to pick one up.

Anybody know of any good scrap yards that might be worth looking at? We only have a handfull of pick and pulls up here. Not much younger than a few '95 Neons and some old Caravans, so any good leads would be worth me looking into.

Thanks in advance,

Re: The Elusive LS Motor

Yup that was the one. Didn't have a lot of things actually but it was the only reasonable deal I could find it seems. Also had a rolled cam lobe, but thats fixed now.

Re: The Elusive LS Motor

Try Mikes Auto Wreckers, Bodyline Auto Wreckers or Plazek Auto Wreckers. All in the Hamilton area, all should be able to search through a variety of other yards inventories. I know that last year Mikes recieved a 2002 Ram Air T/A, however, I am unsure what became of it. May be gone already, but it did have the LS engine in it, saw it with my own eyes. Then commented to myself how much fun changing spark plugs on that must be.
