Will runners from an 1985 305 mate up to later
TPI intake manifolds ie, 1988-1992?
Will fuel injectors from 1990-1992 350 TPI's
fit a 1985 fuel rail?
Lastly, are there any aftermarket intake manifolds
that have the center bolt holes already drilled to fit both early and later heads?
The situation is--I have a built 355 (1972 4 bolt main block) with pre '87 heads, and a complete 1985 TPI unit, so Im trying to figure out the best route to go running speed density.
Thanks in advance!
Matt

Yes 85 runners will BOLT to a 92 base, but they have a hole in them for the 9th injector that SD doesn't have. So I'd get the right runners.
Yes fuel injectors are fairly universal, you can even run ford SVO injectors.
I have the same situation, just block a few things and you're good to go. I dont know about an aftermarket base being drilled for both, but it certainly isn't hard to operate a drill.
Only difference in pre 87 and 87-92 heads are the 2 center bolts on each side. 87-92 heads, the center holes are almost straight up. Pre 87 the center holes are perpendicular to flanges. Notch out the holes in later intakes to mount to early heads and vice-versa.

Thanks guys. I guess I will stay with an '85 or '86 lower intake manifold if I can locate a decent one. I have a 730 ECM. I also have a complete 85 MAF wiring harness and ECM, so I think I will have someone such as Chevythunder redo the harness for speed density.
I need to find out where to tap a hole for the MAP sensor. I also need to find a knock sensor for a 350. I will not be running EGR so I need to figure that out.
I need to take the Edelbrock RPM camshaft out (originally was going to be a carb setup) and decide on a camshaft (hydraulic flat tappet) more streetable and computer friendly.
Lastly, do you know if GM part #5235302 is fuel injectors from a 350 TPI engine 1987 or 1988?
Go with an after market intake, the edelbrock tpi high flow manifold is drilled to fit both styles heads. So if your going to build up that 355 I would do that. Any port it out if you want more air flow.
