Which of these two cams for Stealth Ram and AFR 195s???

I will be running a Stealth Ram and AFR 195cc heads on my 355. I am looking at two different hydraulic roller cams.

-Comp Cam 08-503-8 Dur: 276, 281
Dur @.050: 224, 230
Lift: .503, .510
Lobe Sep: 112

-Comp Cam 08-432-8 Dur: 282, 288
Dur @.050: 230, 236
Lift: .510, .520
Lobe Sep: 110

Any suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance.

i would go with the 08-503-8 because it has better lobe separation. I plan on running about that duration with my trick flows and stealth ram.

I'm probably gonna go with the 08-432-8 because of the fact that the RPM range goes to 5800, as compared to 5600 on the other one. This is a little before a hydraulic roller cam will quit and a little before the 195s quit. Do you guys think the set fuel pressure of 42 PSI is going to hurt me on the Stealth Ram? I'm running 24# injectors by the way. Thanks.

its not well suited for daily driveing, but it kicks butt when the engines in the 3500rpm-6500rpm range.(especially if the giggle gas is in use) just be aware that the 230/236 durration cam your looking at is meant strickly for performance , not as a daily driver. if you have long trips in mind get the smaller cam, but if you want to kick butt that wilder cam will do it! (but you won,t like it if this is your main transportation and not just a weekend toy like my vette is!)(btw 42lbs of fuel pressure works fine with my 30LB injectors but I don,t know if your 24lb injectors can keep up with the demands on the engine but I think youll be ok unless you add NO2

Would it really be that much of a difference in streetability between the two cams? My Camaro is a daily driver, but I really want to kick some *** at the track. Oh, and by the way, I know I shouldn't be concerned with it, but what kind of gas mileage can I expect with a perfectly tuned chip? And also, will I have a problem with my power brakes? Thanks again.

I get about 22mpg if I keep my foot off the floor and use the overdrive all the time, the streetablity to a large extent will depend on your stall speed, chip or ECU programing and the rear gearing, Im running about a 3.08 ratio youll be fine with the bigger cam on a 3.73 ratio.

Also, do you think I can get away with a 2200 RPM stall speed converter? That's what I have now and I really don't want to spend any more money. Also, will the stock throttle body suffice? Thanks again for the help.

both will work ok the milder cam is the better match to the stall speed but either cam can be used and the stock throttle bodys fine.
