I'v seen that too, its pretty decent, but how can you call intake, injectors, heads, cam, ignition, headers, converter, gears, suspentsion, slicks, and nitrous "practically nothing"

Stock 22lbs injectors has to be a misprint. So many of us running 12's and faster have upgraded to larger injectors, how does he run 10's with stock ones?

Why are you unimpressed? Cuz he used nitrous? I think its awesome to run 10's on the stock engine, nitrous or not.

Its a TPIS or SLP chip, cant remember which. I think TPIS. Look around, you'll find people very unimpressed with either of those. Says more for the car IMO.

Yeah I am looking at the mag right now and it says it has a TPIS chip. I am very impressed with that car running like that with a supper ram. Reading most of the post around here sounds like its hard to get those numbers on the track with a supper ram.

Also there is a good reference on the super ram and Nitrous working well together. I know there is a topic on the poweradder board about this subject

I dont know Grandpa here looks like he is proving that the supper ram can run just as long as the miniram....my .02cents

I am sure those wrinkled fatties on the back have alot to do with also, not to mention his FREE flowing exhaust...

I think the single most important element of that car is how many 1/4 mile trips it's had at a dragstrip. Live and learn, test and tune. Nobody gets it right the first time.

Unimpressive, hardly, it's very impressive, a car that runs what mid 14's stock? i also think these mods are a little more than nothing at all. but that's all a matter of opinion.

I would be impressed but it had a shot of NOS. That is still a heck of a good time but those mods would cost a lot of money.

I think the most impressive thing about that car is it has a completely stock bottom end! All those passes and never even spun a bearing or worse. I ran my last GTA for the first time at a super Chevy show and spun a bearing after the 4th round. It was a very tense ride home. I wish I had the balls to do all those mods and leave the bottom end stock. Would have saved me a sheet load of money.

hmmmm

you have to be crazy to be not impressed about a car running 10's with a slp cam, mildly poretd vette heads, and stock injectors with superram.....

for what he has, i would guess 12's at best......

just imagine a little bigger cam, and some afrs!!!!

and yes those were factory injectors...... 22lb to be exact!!

it's all about traction and this guy has proven it!!!!!

i can't wait to get my peice of **** back together and running after reading this....

with a little tuning and traction i better get 9's damn it!!! lol!!!

Impressed is all I can say!!! That car has been tested/tuned ALOT! Thats definately why its soooooo successful at the track. I think its a somewhat mild car also. Gotta agree with you guys. How many cars on this board run that good with their mods???? Not many.... hopefully someday

Not for nothing, but this car would kill the GM HTP project car too, which, dollar-for-dollar, is bigger bucks than this guys combo. And, he's got a MAF system! Guess you can make good power with one of them things.

Kevin, I know guys in my area that used to run 383's with 19 lb injectors and tuning and they could easily run 12s. I think that only a 350 (33 cubes less) could do 10s (2 seconds less) with 22 lb'ers (2lb more). This would have to have tuning though... which this car does. Just my $.02

But havent we always heard the stock 22 lbs injectors will only support about 400 HP max? To run 10's in an f-body you need more than that. Heck, even I was maxing out 22 lbs injectors and I'm not making that much power. I can only think he must be running one hell of a wet nitrous kit, its adding a ton of extra fuel.

i talked to him and he told me every thing he did himself
and yes it is 22 lbs injestore he told me that himself also
the only thing he did not say in the article it that the first time he rane the nos plate system on his car he blew the topplate ot the super ram off(lucky he did not blow his motor) and blew the $hit out of his 9 bolt rear(that is the only reason he switched to the ford 9inch
when he told me he was going to be on next months hot rod i was stuned and then he brought out a print out of his car on the cover
do you know his car is also fetured in yearones 1999 nextgen catolog on page 60 right nexted to the trannys
if you look close it says slp formula 350 on the side
and guys i must tell you when you see this car run inpersone it is sick and you know what the interior is all stock exsept for the rear seats are gone, the ac vents are gone and there and more switchs
he still has power windows and locks everything works

Whats the C/R ?

Anyone who thinks thats not impressive needs their head checked, or hasn't really built a car before.

also what he told me and does not say in the artical is that those heads have been milled or "cleaned up" so many times that he is running out of material to mill so his C/R is very very high with stock pistons
