DIY siamese runners

I saw what Bandit was doing with the runners and I was thinking the same thing so I have a few Questions. When doing that do u need to cut out the middle part between each runner pair where the runners meet the base and plenum because or an air turbulance interferance? Ifyou do cut the middles out do u also have to do that to the plenum and base to? Would just siamesing the runners be enough or would you have to port out the plenum to have the siamesed runners work to your advantage. I'm not even about to go out and buy those expensive runners when I can do it myself.. let me know

Jason

the more you siamese the more air volume you are increasing. i completely siamesed my stock base. i'm still using my stock runners. next up is some slp runners and i'm going to completely siamese them. when i dyno'ed my car you can see the siamesed intake started increasing at 3k rpm. but of course at 4400 rpm it peaked because of the runners.

look at the dyno graph here. and i lost no low end

no you don't have to do the base and plenum. but the more you do, the more it helps.
