Hey all,
I fiiiinnnaaaalllyyy broke into the 12s! I got three runs in. The first was a 13.04, the second a 13.00 , and the third I managed a 12.92 . Here is the slip.
My question is, does it look like my mph is falling off from what it should be from the 1/8 to the 1/4? The car just feels like it flattens out up top.
Anyways I'm happy.

Congrats on that magic number. I should be there once I get my car back together.
Yeah you seem to be tailing off at the end. I hit 106MPH on street tires with a 13.35 ET. This was with a 2.049 60ft. What FP/injectors are you running?
No that 1/8 and 1/4 mph match up pretty well actually. 21 mph in the second half isn't that bad.
And i'm sure you know it already but you have a lot of ET tied up in that 60'.

Ed's probably right when I look at it again. I was comparing your runs with mine but I was on street tires. My 23mph gain from 1/8 to 1/4 is my small advantage in power (very small)
Congrats, get some drag radials and show us the mid 12's!

Thanx guys.
Those times were on BFG drag radials at 28#, that is the best 60 ft that car has seen. Suspension mods are just Lakewood LCAs and the old v6 front springs (if that counts, i never took them out!) stock front struts and monroe shocks.
What would be some well place suspension mods to do? I am planning on 90/10 struts and 50/50 shocks soon, ditching the front bar, new Torque arm mount (mine is stock and sloppy).
What have you all had good luck with?
Danny T- I'm running Accel 24# @ 42 psi
87 B4Z- hey, thanx (this guy has one gorgeous car)
Isn't that fuel pressure a little low??
I have almost the same setup, just with a different cam and I'm running about 48#'s of fuel pressure and at the track I plan to raise it to about 50-52#'s.
What are the specs on the hotcam? I want to run them in desktop dyno and compare it to the cam I have.

Do you have a scanner to monitor the runs. Could probably lean it up top a bit to gain a mph or 2. Just gotta find out what's going on with it......

87, try taking the BFG's down to around 20 psi. I seem to get better traction around 20 psi with mine. Also, if you don't already, make sure you go through the water box and do about a full 5 second burnout to get them hot.

Paul- The pressure is a little low but the car isn't running lean, the pump is on the back half of its life- I havn't yet decided what pump I want next.
I'm not sure on all the cam specs but the vitals are 218 228 dur @ .050, .525 .525 lift with 1.6 RRS, on a 112* lsa.
Pete- I do have an autoXray, I havn't yet logged a run though, according to my A/F gague I am running a little rich at WOT, around 800 mv(?) on the o2. Don't know how accurate the gague is though or if it is any good to go by that. Hopefully next time out I'll get some passes logged. I don't have a wideband so I pretty much only know if I'm rich or lean.
Buckeye- thanx, I'll try 20. I did do at least 5 second burn outs on each run after going thru the water. The tires seemed to bite alright going by the video and little chirping. I am gonna try to get the vid up soon.
3.1- if you're asking me, it wasn't me. I've only been to Houston a few times, the last was a Fun Ford Weekend a couple years ago.
Congrats on the 12 second pass, like Ed said - the MPH seems to be right on. If you want to talk about falling off on the big end, here's my best pass w/ my old L98 set up:
I was running P255/50-16 BF DR's, 20 psi is where they seemed to work for me too. I used to go around the water box, back up into the very edge of it to just get a little bit on the tires, roll forward 5-6 feet, then start my burnout. That technique seemed to be the most consistent for me.
