LT1 Intake Porting?? - Third Generation F-Body Message Boards

Is there any porting that can be done to the LT1 intake for a little "free power". I ask b/c my friend is pulling the intake on his 93 T.A. to polish it, and while it's off I thought we could do it. Thanks

But no, i'm not just posting to be a me-too. Just wanted to say you might find more help/advice on working an LT1 intake at www.camaroz28.com. It's a more 4th gen Lt1 oriented site than here.

What's to port? Just gasket match to the heads you're using and throttle body opening, that's all.
Going larger on the intake ports will only creat a 'step' between the intake on head which is bad.

I think there is some cleaning up one can do like John pointed out, but all the LT1 people I know if they wanted more flow converted to an LT4 manifold and heads. Lapracing.com used to market a machined LT4 manifold that would fit LT1 heads, and thusly ours, but they disappeared.
