I can't decide on which cam to go with COMP CAM XR269HR -218/224 .495/.503 112* or XR276HR - 224/230 .503/.510 112*?
Its goin in a 383 stroker with CNCed and ported Trick Flow heads, modified ported TPI, 3,000 stall 9.5 coverter. It's pretty much a street strip car and is only driven on weekends. If you guys have any other suggestions that would be great also.

Definitely not the 224/230. It wants a power peak at about 5600 in a 383 and needs to rev even higher. No way the long tube runner will allow it to be all it can be, even if it's all ported.
Even the 218/224 would be a bit much duration for maximum mph in your motor. You're looking to take full advantage of the band the intake can give you with both torque and horsepower. I know the 383 will eat up more duration than a 350, but....
If it were my car, I would do a cam with more lift and less duration. Something around 210/220 with .550 lift.
Lingenfelter's 211/219 cam would be my choice. With your 3000 stall it would no doubt run quicker than either of your other 2 choices.
Actually another board member, Mike Crews, replaced his Lingenfelter 211 cam for the Comp 218/224 cam and picked up hp on the dyno. He has not yet had the chance to run it at the track. I am going to run the Comp 224/230 cam in my Superram 383, just put the motor in yesterday, I feel that the 224/230 cam might be a bit big for an LTR combo.
I have a ZZ4 short block and trick flow heads. stock tpi except for the edelbrock base and I run the 276HR. The car does pull hard to like 4500 maybe 5000 but could use some better runnners. This is an awesome eight mile car but not sure what it would run in the quarter.
I run the 276 cam with 1.6 rockers on a Stealth Ram. The car explodes from 3500 to 6000. The duration might be a little too much for a LTR setup though.

I am with you on cam selection. I RAN a ZZ9 in my 383 and that is a pretty similar grind to the Ling one you guys are talking about. I HAD a LTR set up as well. Pulled great from idle and cruising. Also had nice drivablity and decent sounding idle, not very lopey though.

I thing you'll make make a little more power by going to a single pattern camshaft over the ones you mentioned when using any sort of tpi. Your heads flow good on the exhaust, so you don't want to be hanging the exhaust valve open a lot longer with a dual pattern cam. Your intake flow is already limited by the long runners and you don't want what intake charge you do have to get sucked out by the exhaust, which is what happens when your cam has a lot of overlap. I think the 219 cam would be perfect for your long tube runner setup, because it has quick ramps (high lift, short duration) which is what tpi setups like. So I'd say unless you have a really crappy exhaust then the single pattern cam would be good choice.
Another reason why chevy's typically like single pattern cams over dual pattern ones is that chevy heads in general have strong exhaust ports and weak intake ports. After head porting most chevy heads show a lot more flow increase on the exhaust side rather than the intake. The opposite can be said for ford heads. Their intake ports flow a lot better %-wise than their exhaust port. Look at how much better a set of Trickflows or AFR's flows on the intake side of a ford head compared to a chevy head. Ford heads generally are more suited for a dual pattern cam than a chevy. Of the cams you mentioned I'd recommend the bigger one cause you've got a 383, but I wouldn't go any bigger because of your intake.

car ran 13.50 @ 101mph like that, with 8.96:1 compression.
Right now, look at my sig. When I ran 13.50 it was with a 1227165 ECM and *STOCK* bin for a 350, no supercharger.
The supercharger took off about a second.
I've since went to 1 5/8 hedman headers, and a full 3" catback. before I was running flowtech 1.5" headers and a stock ws6 catback with just a flowmaster muffler.
