I hope you get your FAST setup quicker than I got mine. I got the sequential w/ wideband pre wired for MSD ignition and it took almost 3 months to get mine. I just thought I'd inform you, maybe I just ordered mine at the same time the rest of the country did
wow three months, i hope i don't have to wait three months, i'll have classes in three months and i need this boy to get me there.

I paid $1949 with the Wideband option at www.jimsperformance.com , hes knows his stuff and local to me so thats why i picked it up from him. I didn't opt for the sequential port option as it was alot more work for little gain in my case.

Thats awsome i have a 76 350 4 bolt block from a truck i didnt know if it would have some of the sensors holes needed. Also i like the TPI look would a 383 be fine with the tpi setup. Will the smog pump bracket bolt up fine also i dunno if i want to delete the emissions or not.

you will need to drill a hole and tap for the oil pressure sensor, thats the only problem i had. The smog pump bracket bolted up fine with my sepertine setup. I like to use stuts for the lower two holes on the block for the passenger side bracket. As far as having a tpi, that should be fine as long as you don't have a wild cam or anything. TPI will limit the upper rpm power if you thats what you're lookin for. You can pass emissions without the smog pump, that is considering i did with my bone stock 305 years ago.

ahhhh tpi on a 383 motor? if you can, look into getting a HSR. you can pick one up for like 500 and you can reuse some of the tpi stuff. 383's like to build up torque and tpi will help it down low but as you go higher tpi will choke it off. 383 is a deep breather and tpi wont give it the right air if you have a soild set up. Try porting the chit out of what you got to free up the bottle neck... the plenum can be done easily, maybe aftermarket runners, and port the base. If you are really set on tpi and dont want to go to a different setup, then get a high flow base and gut that thing too. the tpis, edelbrock, and accel bases have extra meat so that you can really open up that base. Also SLP, Edel, or AS&M make good runners.. as for the plenum... break out the dremmel baby!!

(I like to use stuts for the lower two holes on the block for the passenger side bracket.) What do u mean by that derfrank i think u might of miss typed but just checkin what u said. Also i talked to a guy at jims performance in md he said it would be ok to go with a pretty healthy cam like around a 519 lift since i have a 5 speed. Yeh he also said with the 383 the tpi will choke off the top end but he said it will still be a torque monster.
i think i meant to say studs, here is a pic so you can see what i'm talkin about. Is your car already tpi? If not, i'd go with a Holley Stealth Ram because for performance for dollar value. If you wanna spend some money, the Miniram is the nicest i think because of its low profile look and ability to pass it off as a LT1 to the people who don't know. If you don't have AC and wanna convert to TPI and your car is a 90, i have a harness that you might be interested in, PM about it if you need something like it. If you want the thing at barely emissions legal, i'd go with the comp cams 224/230 cam for max power and be able to pass smog testing. It took me a while to get my 222/230 legal but with tuning i got it through. So if you're not good with chip tuning or haven't even thought about it, i don't suggest that cam. Go with something smaller like the lingenfelter 219 cam which is still a nice size cam for the street. Also, don't expect the stock 5sp to handle too much power, but we'll leave you to asking the question abou that on the tranny board.
don't really know. It's not mine. I took the picture during a car show in daytona. It from the turkey rod run. I could ask around town next time I see someone with this set-up.

BTW, very nice setup you have going.
I'm not sure, i bolted up new urethane mounts and changed the k-member to a tubular one. Not sure but my header has like 2 inchs of clearance by the bell housing on driver and passenger side.

OK. That has nothing to do with the way the headers bolt on, but I'm glad it worked out for you. Good luck with the car.
Ok i went outside and looked and its more like 1.5" on the passenger side and the driver side is real close with only about 3/4" of space between flange and tranny.

The last thing I remember was one of the header collectors was interfering with the bellhousing or something. It was in one of your posts quite sometime ago. No biggie....I'm glad it fit without having to modify it.
ahhhhhh yes, 1991-Z28 had that problem, hes a good friend of mine and supposely he had that problem according to thirdgen resource who did the work on his car. I haven't even looked under the car to see how and what they cut on his car.
when i get a chance, i'll take some photos from under neath the car so you can see the clearance on it.

defrank i was thinkin of havin my prom burned and my harness change over from tbi to tpi done by jims performance. I talked to him a few times seems like he does really know his stuff and a super nice guy. Would u recamend them for the prom burning and the harness change over.I think im gonna save up also for the mini ram.
I highly recommend jims performance for the harness deal. If hes willing to do the prom for you, i would shoot for it. Me and him both agree that it is still best for you to burn the prom yourself as he doesn't have the car infront of him to actually do testing. Yes, do save up for the miniram. Its worth it in every bit.
