Not 100% sure on the '87, but on my '88 it was fed vacuum from a fitting on the underside of the throttle body (driver side) and a hard plastic line that fed EGR and some other thingies mine no longer has.
Check the underside of your throttle body driver side for the fitting, if it's capped just fab up a tube to get it back to the EGR solenoid, then from there to the EGR valve itself. You can buy the rubber elbows and hard plastic tubing at Advance Auto and probably other stores.
