detailed TPI throttle body pic...

I was looking at my TPI to see if the last owner had done the coolant bypass, and noticed a piece that looks like it should have a hose on it and it doesnt, its part of the throttle body and its a small nipple right under the bottom....does anyone have a detailed (labled)blown up pic of a TPI throttle body so I can see what hose should be there,or if it should be plugged etc...I would have taken a pic but its so tight under there I cant get the camera close enough to take one.. thanks for any help!:hail:

its not labeled but you can see one opening on the right side of the pic, and the other between the IAC and TPS. one of the bypassed hoses is also visible.

ok you see the big coolant one on the right...well right behind
that on mine is a little tiny nipple, and theres no hose on it,Im not sure if it should be plugged or what, its about the size that a vacume line would hook to thats why I wondered...

pretty sure your talkin about the EGR hose nipple. should be a vaccum hose there that goes to the EGR solenoid.

If it is a little nipple on the bottom of the throttlebody on the drivers side, it's for a hard vacuum line that goes to the EGR solenoid.

there should be 2 lines coming out of the solenoid. if you have one line out of the solenoid already then you can see where the one that's missing goes to.

one line goes out to the TB, the other goes to the valve.

It would hook up to the EGR solenoid which is located beneath the Ignition coil. There are two hard lines going to the solenoid, one from the EGR and the one from the throttle body. There should be a diagram label inside your hood at the front on the drivers side that will tell you how to route the vacuum lines. There is a third nipple on the EGR solenoid that is normally covered with a piece of foam rubber. That is just a vent port.

dunno why these pics are coming out blurry

ok I think that 3rd one is the one that confused me,does the 3rd one have like medal clips that would hold a hose in place?..the 2 that are used are side by side correct? And they come out of the solenoid as 2 plastic vacume lines? you know the ones that always crack easy ,I see one line that goes to the EGR like you said and the other plastic hose is missing,it must have broke at some point and they through it! let me know if the 2 are side by side, and if that 3rd un-used one is a bigger short nipple....sorry for being dumb but this is the first 3rd gen that I actualy left the computer and hoses on

the nipple with the metal clips is just a vent. the 2 hard lines are side by side like you see in the pic.

So where the hell can I buy that plastic tubing $hit, thats why I was lost...one of the 2 plastic tubings was missing. So there was just a hole beside the first line that goes to the EGR valve,I dont believe I have ever seen that tubing for sale..

Go to AutoZone, NAPA, Advance Auto, or most auto parts stores carry it. Usually comes in 3 to 6 foot lengths. Cut off what you need and save the rest for later.

you can probably fabricate a new line out of something else. i aint that smart so the first thing i would do is check a boneyard and rip it out if i find it.

so like I said this is probably why when my car warms up the engine light comes on? and as I said it was for a EGR code..
it doesnt run bad,but it would be nice not to have to see that damn light,or it will be coming out of the cluster next

lloks sweet! I just put on the same one,the only thing is when they say make the "M" in BMR in the center of the manifold....that makes it so the bar is a little off set and more to the driverside but thats the way I did it. I'll have to get a pic

Is it just me, But if you look down in the picture right below the egr port do you see the end of the rubber elbow pointing up right at the port.
