I have had the car done for a couple of months now, but i just finally got around to getting a new wire for my digital camera. If you are looking at this post and say I have already seen this pic, you are right, but the first time i messed up and i just wanted to get a couple of pics up here so everyone can see the pics without it saying something different and getting all confused. But everyone let me know what you think, everyone have a good day!

the mods that i have done are:I have a ZZ4 short block, ported and polished L98 heads, competition valve job, 372 gears, the tranny is down right now but in the process of getting fixed,borla exhaust,24# accel injectors,52mm throttle body,LT4 hot cam kit, the headers are not on it right now but they will be slp headers going on,jacobs prostreet ignition and then after the tranny is fixed i will have a 3,000 stall in it and then i'm doing the rearend to try and get traction.
As for the fuel line rubbing on the hood, everything is clear on that, there is plenty of room under there, that was made sure of before the car even moved out of the driveway.]
I live right outside of mentor, about 25 minutes east of Cleveland, i have been to dragway 42 before, that is not a very bad track, i mostly run at thompson, it is only about 40 min away from me and the track is actually getting better, i will be going to norwalk once the tranny and traction issues are solved. the other thing i noticed was the pressure regulator mounted backwards. i guess so long as it's non adjustable it's not a big deal. if it is adjustable, then turing the screw might be a little difficult. by the way click the green banner.
You know what, you are 100% right about the AFPR, mine is adjustable and it is a pain in the A$$ to adjust it when needed to, does anyone happen to have a pic of there AFPR so i can see how it goes. I have tried to look around on the internet and find a good pic of how it goes but i just can't find one, If anyone happens to have a pic it would be greatly appreciated!!!!
Simply remove the 2 bolts and flip it the other way. You might have to redo the fuel line ends, depending on how you wanna have the line routed. Here's a pic of my return line setup:
I have a question for everyone running a stealth ram with #24 injectors, what kind of fuel pressure are you running on your setup, just curious because at 50 psi my car is running too rich, any input would be nice, thanks everyone!!!!

on the 360 i ran 52 psi. on the 383 i put it to 58 psi. now one thing to remember is that larger cams run 'dirty' at idle. meaning rich at idle due to the larger duration and overlap. it's what it runs throughout the entire range that matters.
Looking real good. I like the LT4 type valve covers on there, its a very clean look. Where do you get those injector boot covers? I saw them on John Millican's car also. They look much better than the electrical tape I used that pulled together into a knot the first time the engine heated up

The boot covers that you are talking about were on the car stock, the only thing that I changed that had anything to do with the injectors was replaced the injectors. Sorry that it took me so long to get back to you on that, i have been doing nothing but working and more working!
To be honest with you, the setup is a perfect combination, I lost alot of low end but i picked up alot of high end, which is a good thing because i had some serious traction issues. I'm very happy with the setup, i just want to get a new set of heads on the car and then i'm done, maybe a bigger cam, but every motor head knows how it goes, there is never enough mods that you can do, if you are doing a similar setup you will be very pleased, have a good and safe holiday everyone!!!!!!!
Looks nice!!! I really like the HSR. I have been running about 48psi with 30# Accel injectors. Just flip your AFPR around to make the adjustment easier. And do something with those fuel lines. No offense, but at least try to hide them!! Just my $.02... BTW, I like those valve covers, I have the same ones in chrome...
Just to let you know, i appreciate your two cents, i just did that to get the motor together and running, i was going to take care of the fuel lines by running them on the fire wall, but i actually like the way that you can see the fuel lines, I actually think that it accents the motor, and for the AFPR getting flipped around, that is the next thing on my list to do, i don't know why i didn't do that form the get go, thanks for the remarks everyone!!!
How much low end is lost? Im trying to sell my mustang to get a l98 formula and the hsr is one thing i plan on doing if I'm able to get the car. But if alot of the low end is lost I may not do it cause i like alot of low end Is there anyway you can port the stock manifold to get it to flow nearly as well as a HSR? and the formula comes with accel large tube runners, that will help it flow some for some top end wont it? Sorry for hijacking your thread.

Even though you lose a lot sometimes it FEELS like you gained a whole lot. With too much you tend to lsoe traction and when there is less tq it is a TON eisier to hook up. I say less tq and more traction feels a TON better than more tq and less traction. You will notice it a lot more.
Very nice car. I want to do the same engine set up accept with a TPIS ZZX cam. What kind of track times do you think you are going to bring in? Did you get new a prom burned or running stock?
Have you had any trouble getting the AFPR to see 45+ PSI? I have turned mine at least 4 full turns and only raised the pressure to ~46 PSI (up from ~42 PSI as delivered)...is this normal? Is 46 PSI sufficient with 24# injectors? Should I keep turning until ~50 PSI is reached?
I didn't lose a ton of low end, but you can tell there isn't as much as there used to be. i think that TPI motors are very nice set ups, the only thing that i hate about them is how they fall on there face in the higher rpms, it is so cool when you get put back in your set off the line and how fast you pull from a mustang, but with a TPI unit that mustang is catching you after the 1/8 mile. I'm very pleased with the HSR, if you get on it you are still going to be spinning the tires, but no where near i was doing before, the more traction the better.
And as for the fuel pressure only going so high, right now i have my fuel pressure set at 50 PSI, i just did this so i can get ready to put my ignition on, I'm also running 24# injectors and the car is running a little to rich, so i honestly think that if you are going to be running a stock ignition i would keep the fuel pressure right about 45 psi area. I'm putting on a Jacobs Pro Street ignition so i have mine a little high to see how it runs with the ignition at 50 psi.
As for a TPI unit being able to flow as much as the HSR, out of the question. The runner length is so much shorter then a TPI unit, and i also tried to help out my stock intake by putting on a High Flow Edelbrock base and runners with a ported plenum and an AFPR from TPIS, I was not pleased at all, with that set up i went a 14.015 @ 97 mph, i don't have any track times for the new setup, but i can promise you i just went from a 14 second car to a basement 13's or high 12's. The car pulls so much harder and so much longer. If you want to run a HSR you will be pleased in the long run.
