In reality RAM AIR is just a catch phrase, your not really ramming air into your cylinders, what it definatly is, is Cold Air Induction. I think that will provide plenty of air for a 383 or anything else for that matter.

I bought this little temp sensor at Wal Mart one night that has a inside and outside probe with an 8 foot cable. So naturally I stuck it in the right side airbox (both airboxes are cut open on the bottom) and strung the cable into the cab and when cruising on the highway. The temp outside at a standstill was 81 degrees. At 70 mph my airboxes were reading 63 degrees. hehe I don't think it can get much better than that. It was cooler in my airbox than it was in the car lol

I have the sheetmetal boxes now, and man do they work.

RAMAIR is like... a big dream. I woke up a couple weeks ago - due to a very heated and informative post.

This is COLD AIR tho for sure, and I feel the difference everywhere!
