Code 54 is fuel pump circuit. Reset the ECM and test again. It will be in there from memory before you changed the pump. If it comes back make sure you here the pump run for 2 seconds when you turn the key on but not starting the engine.

Did you adjust the new IAC? You should have. After you adjust it you have to reset the TPS as well. Here's the procedure.

My code 43 on my first 1991 Z28 305tpi was a bad knock sensor.

My friend had a code 54 on his 1992 formula 5.0tbi. He had a bad fuel pump relay.

Best bet is to go through a diagnosis flow chart to help track down the problem.

ok so i replaced the cap rotor and plugs hoping it was just somethnig like that...

well of course i was wrong... i can get the car to occasionalyl start, and i can get it to do a low accelleration from 1k to 4k and back down, however i cannot tap the gas....

provided is a video of me doing just that...

http://s92002946.onlinehome.us/Videos/Car.wmv

a slow 4k climb and slow back down again, and then a tap of the gas pedal.

it dies completly..

if the code 54 is what is causeing it, and im getting a headache reading the diagrams and trying to understand what a ckt 465 or 450 etc is what are the most common "gone wrong" things that cause this?
