It looks like a new TPI setup from BBK. Didn't know if anyone had seen this so I thought I'd share the info.

Car: 92 GTA Engine: Yes Transmission: Busted | At the very least I hope it signals a renewed interest from the aftermarket companies on our thirdgens.
We need more stuff!
Cheap stuff is even better. |

| sounds awsome to me. we have had very minimal options for our tpi intake set-ups. most being very expensive as well. i cant wait to see it. hope it looks mean as hell and also very functional to gain hp. BBk has got my vote on this one

Car: 1989 GTA Engine: 5.0 TPI Transmission: T-5 WC Axle/Gears: Yukon 3.73 | Very interesting as I am investigating porting the plenum and runners to my 5.0 litre TPI engine. However, I would like to see an independent review of the product before I bought this manifold. I am thinking of their bolt on 52mm and 58mm throttle bodies which make a lot of claims, which have been criticized on these discussion boards. |

Maybe you can get a quick inside look at one or some info to scan and put up.
Thanks. |

#15 | | | I HAVE NEWS i went o BBK today right after work. i got to speak to a lady who said she was a Manager there. and she gave me some good info!! heres a run down of our convo
me: hi i saw on your website that there is a new TPI system coming out soon, could you give me more info on that?
her: yes its based on the TPI system for camaro and firebird.
me: i was wondering when it was going to be available
her: its going into production in Jan 05
me: great, is it going to be 50 state legal?
her: well right now we only have 2 fully fuctional systems ready, one is going to SEMA this weekend, and it is not 50 state legal. once production starts in Jan 05 we will be sending it out to get CARB certified, check our website for future info on it.
me: wow, ok then, how long before a 50 state legal system will be available to the public?
her: well CARB testing is usually 6-8 months so we really dont have a date yet.
me: so im curious as to what comes in the system for $399, can you tell me more about it?
her: yes it has a base manifold, fuel rails, and i believe the intake plenum and runners are 1 piece together.
me: whoa that sounds great!! will there be a price difference in a 50 state legal system?
her: i really dont know yet
me: do you know of any statistics such as power gains over stock?
her: well there was testing going on all last month but i really dont know for sure about numbers but it should be a big improvement from stock, check our website periodically as we update it.
me: well i represent members of Thirdgen.org and we are all excited about this new product since all the manufactures are catering to newer cars lately.
her: whats thirdgen.org?
me: its a car enthusiast website dedicated to 82-92 F-body cars, trans am and camaro ect. namely all the cars that use TPI
her: wow i didnt know of this, are there alot of members?
me: thousands, its international as well, canada europe, japan, we also have members in the pacific islands, so when we hear about new products its a great thing.
her: well i will have to pass this on to our staff, so they know about you, im sure it will help drive sales
me: thank you!
so thats how it went. i dont know how much of this will turn out to be true in the final product, so no one kill me if this doesnt pan out the way she says. |

It sounds like something most of us could use and probably afford to go with if it puts out good numbers (that are factual anyway)
I'm anxious to see what the setup looks like.
I hope it looks as cool as the stock setup does. |

| well this is just great they are making this. i cant wait ill definitly buy one. i read just last week in a mustang 5.0 magazine about the magazine testing the new bbk intake set-up for the 5.0 on an all stock 5.0 mustang. if i remember correctly with an all stock 5.0 and the bbk intake (stock tb as well) it netted around 35 hp and maybe 20 some ft lbs of torque. i do remember it definitly gained big hp in the upper rpm's but this was no a 5.0 mustang so who knows about ours yet.

Car: '90 IROC-Z Engine: twin-turbo L98 Transmission: T56 Axle/Gears: 3.42/posi | They definately have my interest, I'll hold on the Stealth Ram I was about to buy just to see.
I don't really care too much how it looks as long as it flows well up high (at least as much as Stealth Ram). If it does, I'm sure I won't be the only one to help strip their shelves of them right away. We'll see I guess.

Car: 1988 Trans Am GTA Engine: 383 Transmission: 700R4 | This is great news!! It just shows that the interest in thirdgens is growing, and it is great to see. I imagine it will not be long before more companies come onboard and produce TPI "aftermarket" parts. I guess with the demise of the f-body people no longer look at the thirdgen as the "slower" f-body, or the "*******" car. It is getting the respect it deserves!
The only down side is this means it will be harder and harder for me to find a stock, mint, GTA for my son to drive when he turns 17. He's only 4!! And my garage is full so I have no where to put one now. It's gonna be tough!

Car: 88 IROC Engine: 305 TPI Transmission: 700R4 Axle/Gears: 10 bolt 3.73 | Imagine if the think looks like a TPIS mini ram or LT1 style intake. They are both one piece intakes that from a mass production stand point would be very easy to mold. |
