Unplug battery to reset after setting TPS and minimum airflow?

Hi guys, is it necessary to pull my battery to reset the computer after setting the minimum airflow and TPS base voltage? The instructions I have didn't mention having to reset the computer, just plug the TPS back in once its set properly, but someone on the board mentioned having to reset the computer.

I always do, but it's probably not really necessary, and you lose radio settings too.
