Porting Intake Runners

Can anyone explain in more detail is done.

I would like to "port my runners" with a dremel. My freind says we can smooth it out make it bigger...is that all there is too it?

Can i only take off so much? And also one more questions do i need new gaskets when putting them back in.

Anyone give me some advice would be much appreciated.

Runners or base?

There isnt much you can do to the runners themselves, except on the very ends.

Re: Porting Intake Runners

The runners themselves can't really be ported due to them being curved. Theres really no way to port the whole thing out and just porting the ends is useless as the center of the runners would still be restrictive. If you want better flow through you're runners, you're gonna have to go buy different runners.
