TPI throttle plate Question

OK so i bought a aftermarket throttle plate on ebay and was going to put it on this week or so. But my friend across the alley has a 350 tpi camaro told me never to take off the throttle plate. i asked him why he just seed its not good. also were can i get the throttle plate gasket for it.

You can take the plates off, just don't do it while the car is running. I've taken mine off plenty of times; it does not hurt anything. If you're old gasket is rubber and not chewed up you should be able to reuse it.

your buddy is misinformed go to your local auto parts store and ask for a throttle body gasket pack.
