I believe it's the EGR vacuum solenoid and it bolts onto the coil bracket.

i can't help you with where it goes precisely, though i know one line feeds into the front, under the throttle body and the line is a very tight fit to it. see if you can feed it to the throttle body where its connected- where the fitting ends up might be in the general vicinity of where it is on the engine. all i remember is that it's to the back of the plenum, and to the left of the distributor. with the two vacuum hoses pointing straight up.

that is however, if memory serves me correct... it's been a long day.

Re: cant figure out where this went??help pics inside

what blackbird said is mostly correct

goes towards the passenger side of the distributor, the rubber fitting should have the hoses pointed up.....one hose goes to the bottom of the TB, other hose goes to the EGR valve

it attaches to the bracket that your coil attaches to

to make the fit easier and ease the strain on the hoses, you might just go buy new longer hoses, just make sure everything is attached and it'll be fine

Re: cant figure out where this went??help pics inside

I just had that part off my car yesterday as I was installing a new intake. That bolts inbetween the coil and the bracket off the intake, on the passenger side right next to the distributor. The tab just sits ontop of the bracket and then put the coil ontop of it, using the bolts to go through the coil, through that tab, and into the bracket... sort of sandwiched inbetween if that makes sense.

Besides the two vacuum lines, there is also a wire/plug-in that faces the firewall that needs to be connected.. the wire usually falls behind the distributor, don't forget to plug it in. If the vacuum lines are too short you'll need to re-route them to work, or as someone suggested, lengthen them.

Good luck.

Yep, if the coil is installed, unbolt it, slide the bracket in question underneath the coil, re-mount the coil. You'll get used to this as you start adjusting the distributor for timing (access to dizzy hold-down).
