help car is cutting out around 4500 rpm PLEASE HELP ME im out of ideas

ok heres the deal if i take car up to 4500 slow its not as bad but if i romp on it it cuts out really bad ive been told it is an ignition prob but ive check my msd,msd coil new cap,rotor,wires and its still there im at my ropes end its driving me nuts what else could it be? my fuel psi is fine "taped gauge to windshied" i have a 87 tpi with maf and custom chip can anyone help me???i would be eternally grateful if anyone can solve this prob thanks

What you need to do is pinpoint where the problem first started. Did it start happening before the MSD? Check the rev-limit chip, it may be malfunctioning. Also check to see if the valves may be floating. My friend bought a Mustang (too bad for him) that when he would take it to high RPM it would do the same thing. We checked it out and the rocker arms where actually pushing down on the retainers and not the valve stems. This caused the valve to come up past the retainer just enough to where the locks let the valves slide down. Intern, never letting the valve fully close. Also maybe check the gapping on the spark plug.
