My friend is an avid Carb guy, and he knew my 305 TPI was tired, but was running 16.1
After I swaped in 350 with all mods in my sig, he said no way ill run better then 14.6 in the 1/4.
I am guessing 13.9-14.4, but he is saying NO WAY.
(The motor may have a mild street cam in it, its only 80,000km, but intake had goop on it, like its been off, I wont know for sure until I get it out and get the custom tuning done (to be done in spring)
Assuming, no cam work has been done, what should I run. (Sticky street tires)
80,000 Km on the engine? How exactly do you expect to get a decent quarter mile time out of that thing when you speak metric? Now, are we talking a real quarter mile (as is only proper and correct) or are we talking about a 400 meter track? I know that 80% of the world's population uses the metric system but it's still wrong, regardless of how many people rely on it in their daily lives!
On a proper 1320 foot long track you'll go low 14s to high 13s if it's tuned half decent to match the larger cubes. If you're running 400 meters then I can't help you- could be anywhere between 13.0 and sometime next Tuesday.

I had my high mileage - 200,000+ stock, never rebuilt L98 to 14.2 with not much done. Slightly higher than stock torque converter, B&M shift kit, old 2 on the left Flowmaster cat back, ... typical "free mods" like TB coolant bypass, descreened MAF. That was in my fully optioned IROC. Put the same engine (now at 220,000+ miles) in a stripped down Firebird with an SD setup and T5 and got a 14.3.
Long as you can get into the 1.9x range for a 60FT could be into high 13s depending on your track.
low 14's maybe high 13's. your intake is a stock TPI. thats killing u ur done at 4200-4800. your rear gears are wayyyy to high for a stock TPI and a modded TPI as well, better gears are 3.23/3.27 and 3.42. the 3.73 are gona take u outa ur powerband quickly. not to mention u got no suspension mods.
basically u have a stock 350tpi(heads, cam, intake) with a tune, decscreened maf, air foil, 1.6rr and a catback. i change my time to prob low 14's.

My ride has 116,000kms on it with a typical oil pressure of 1.41kg/cm2 running at a temperature of 105degC and I'm still able to get 8.4L/100kms and that's averaging 110km/h in a 1460kg car!!!!!

What's the elevation of the track?
My buddies GTA (automatic) with just shorty headers and my tuning goes high 13s all day. I think most of the kids who say high 14s either can't drive, or at 50 thousand feet.
Even a stock C4 with lame 2.59:1 gears should hit a 13.99 once and a while.

u have to ultimitly assume that most ppl dont kno how to drive let alone launch a car or know how to shift at an engines peak power point. lol a safe assumption is low to mid 14's depending on his feet
I ran 14.8 with my 305.
2.1 60'
street tires
no stall
over 100,000 miles on the bottom end.
With my tunes turned up! becausr I had my subs still in my car
I ran a 14.3 with my stock GTA on a good track with a rebuilt 355 and everything else stock and 3.23 gears, and back then I had no clue how to drive the car. And I'm in Georgia.
Track elevation? What is the average DA during the time of the year you plan to race the car? Does the car hook well? All this will be a factor obviously.
My 91' has over 140K miles on the untouched long block, the intake tract is unported & all stock, transmission & converter are stock, etc. I have a few mods, some of which don't help at all (52mm TB & MSD 6A), a set of dry-rotted BFG DR's, & 3.73 gears. In around 2000' DA, the car ran 13.933 @ 97.78 MPH - 1.916 60 ft time.
I think it's fair to say if your track doesn't have 5000'+ of elevation, you don't blow the tires off, and nothing breaks... 13.8 - 14.2 @ 97-99 MPH is a fair "guess-timate."
But, until the frozen tundra melts - it's just bench racing. Best of luck to you when the time comes.
