bad ecm or prom....or both???

i would like to start by saying thanks to all who have contibuted to the wealth of info and knowledge i have gained from this site. i visit frequently and can usally get what i need from the archives.....but after searching today i need a little more help.
after a trip to the store earlier today my car would not start. it will crank will not fire. after getting it home i checked the codes but the aldl will not respond with the key in the on pos. the check eng. light does not come on the fans won't run nothing. all fuses are good fuel pressure is good while cranking but no spark. prior to this the car was running great. it is not equipt w/vats and is 5.7 tpi auto if that matters any help greatly appreciated.

Sounds electrical. Check back to your distributor and coil. Possibly the pickup coil in the distributor, they are notorious.

When your ecm/eprom goes, it will ALWAYS trigger an SES code (51 generally) and the car runs crappy because you end up in limp mode. Yours sounds different.
