DFI and harness help for 383/Superram

My friend up the street just finished building his 383 with a superram for his '84 IROC and we're thinking about using DFI on it. The car originally had injection (it has a TPI harness in it) and we were going to use the stock computer and harness, but it's kind of a mess. He's not running any AC, cruise, or EGR stuff.

Will a TPI harness from Accel with a DFI box drop right in and can we completely remove the stock engine harness? What steps are we missing? Is there a FAQ or write-up somewhere?

Thanks,

Don

The easiest thing to do would be to use an interface harness that goes adapts the DFI to the stock harness. If you go to www.whiteracing.com you will find the interface harness I’m talking about. You can use the harness that comes with the DFI, but it’s a lot more work to do than using the interface harness. Hope this helps.

Thats what I did. I bought the interface from whiteracing and it was a hell of a lot easier than switching out the harnesses. BTW, IROCs started on the 85 model.
