Any pics of the TB bypass?

Does anyone have pics of it done? I did mine, but I'm curious where I should run my heater hose to now. Where did all of you guys run your hose to? I know I have seen enough sigs that say they have it done, so where did you all put it? Any response will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I would like to see the same also and would like to ask this question:

Why cant you install a small gate valve in line to the TPI ???

You can open it in winter and close it it summer if needed.

Would this cause a problem or does the coolant need to circulate through to cool something else ?

This mod might be done on my car, I have read that up to a 7 hp gain is expected, also I have seen that it makes little difference.

Hmmm....

I just bought a new section of heater hose and ran it from the block to the heater core. This got rid of the short piece from the block to the TB, which was rotted on my car.

Simple, easy, and likely the hoses need replacing anyway.

You can't install a valve because the cooland usually flows from the heater core through the TB and into the intake to continue circulation.

if you're willign to go through the trouble of installing a valve, why not just re-install hosing in factory spots when colder months come around???...just a thought...

as far as where to run the hose...

[i]you got 4 points, one on the driver's side of the TB (1) going to one on the intake (2),
then you have one going from the heater control valve (3) to the passenger's side of the TB (4)..all you gotta do is run a length of hose from the intake port (2) to the heater control valve (3)...[i]

if i had pics id post them, but its really not hard at all...
i did mine in 5 minutes,and i did BLADE's and FLY89GTA's in about 15 combined...

drop me an email if you need further help/advice

When I did my bypass, I couldn't stand the nipples sticking out, so I did some re-constructive surgery. Check it out: TB Bypass
