My wife's 67 Firebird convert is running 305 TPI/700R4 setup, and has ran great for 7 months or so, but now after it sits a few days, the engine turns over, but will not start. This started after about five months after I finished car. Everything seems to be okay with setup.
I can spray some BG cleaner in throttle body, and it will fire up just fine, and run and start great until it sits a few days again. Then, you have to spray intake cleaner into throttle body again.
I can hear the pump build up when the key is turned on, and it starts fine after the first assist.
Any ideas or suggestions?

One guess is, it might not be getting enough fuel at command to start up. What year TPI setup are you running?
Another possibility is, the injectors might be sticking open, allowing the fuel to pool into the cylinder heads, in a not atomized state. This might explain why spraying starting fluid allow it to fire up. Have you checked the fuel pressure when you prime the fuel system? Does the pressure hold constant or bleed off.

I'm kinda leaning toward the injectors also.
I've not had a chance to check it out yet. I'm going to get some guages on the FP and such this weekend.
Thanks for second opinion.

disconnect the battery terminals over night then in the morning put a tester to it if you have one and see what it reads, your battery might not have enough juice to crank
When I found the car, it was 4 miles from my house and had been stored in the basement for 27 years, and I bought it for 4000.
I had to get rid of the 400/400 setup though because I built it for my wife to tool around in. She couldn't afford to go to town at todays gas price with a Pontiac 400 in it.
Now checked mpg yet. I wanted to get debugged good first.
I put trickle charger on it, and made no difference, so I'll do the noid and pressure next week.
I finally got tired of spraying throttle cleaner in air filter every time car sat for several days to start it.
I had done every test for the last year I could come up with and they checked out okay, but I took the old original 86 injectors out and replaced with a set of Ford injectors and the car starts any time you want to go now.
It can sit a week or two and fire right up, so the injectors must have been worn out.
Also, while I had plenum off, I had heard that the SVO injector needed a little more pressure that the 39 lb that 305 had, so I made an adjustable regulator and ran pressure up to 41 lbs.
