Brights Go Out ( Help )

I don't know if this belongs in this thread but here is my problem/

I own a 1986 Iroc-Z28 Camaro , When I drive down the road at night I have to have my brights , The regular lights just do not provide me with enough light so I turn on my brights. I turn them on and bam works perfect but then If they stay on for too long they blink and blink and then go completely out and the only way to get them back Is if I go back to my regular lights and wait a few minutes then turn my brights back on , I have to do this a few times.

I just replaced the Windshield Switch knob thingy paid 40 bucks for it and its brand new , I was told that would fix it but I just expierenced the same problem again and I have no clue what it could be ? Anyone have any ideas at all please?

Re: Brights Go Out ( Help )

Original bulbs or aftermarket ones? They are on a self-resetting circuit breaker. If they draw too much current that's what happens. You might want to try a new pair of OEM type bulbs.
