350 H.O. TPI owners - feedback

Would appreciate feedback from those who are running the GM 350 HO with TPI. How do you like the kit, performance, driveability, etc. Does the HO cam seem to match decent with the TPI?

Looking to swap in the long block, vortec base and add my upgraded fuel system. Will only be porting the plenum and runners to match. Please, no posts about 383's and stealth rams.

Appreciate your feedback

Yea that's all well and good but I'm not looking for other motor options in this thread. Plenty of routes to go...

I am simply asking the folks who are running the 350 HO with TPI how they like it.

Re: 350 H.O. TPI owners - feedback

My father has a 350HO crate motor in his 72 El Camino SS however it is carburated. The engine itself makes alot of low end and mid range power, up to about 5500rpms. I believe his Elco ran a low 14 in the quarter mile with that engine and a 3.55 gear, not bad considering the El camino wieghs about 4300 pounds. However with the TPI set up a cam swap to a EFI specific cam would be a good idea. I also plan to use this engine to replace my L98 down the road.
