| Re: vortec tpi intake I think you would be wise to read the thread "Super Vortec tpi base" by Jerry Who before investing in a set of Vortec heads. Vortec heads may be cheap, but they need a lot of work to handle the sort of lift you want in a performance engine, and then the amount of work needed to get the base to flow decent numbers will run the price up considerably. I think it would be a lot less expensive to get almost any of the aftermarket heads designed for tpi on L98 motors than to try to do all of the work needed to make the Vortecs work, unless you are like Jerry with a heliarc machine and complete machine shop in your garage.
