TPI EGR Vac Solenoid - all interchangable?

I have an 89 L98 GTA. After a while of failing to locate an 89 Vac Solenoid (even having one store say my car never had one!) I bought a used one on ebay. (seller listed it as part # DR631 6195)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=190282338439

The ebay one has a smaller bracket, and the plug is facing the other way, and the groove on the one contact is a little different. I could easily get the plug in with a little work.

Should I expect this "TPI Solenoid" to be compatible with my car?

thanks in advance...

Re: TPI EGR Vac Solenoid - all interchangable?

Would you mind telling me how it is hooked up? One port is open, one to the EGR and one to intake vacuum, correct? Does the intake vacuum go to a check valve or is it to direct intake vacuum?
