TPI Valve Covers

I'm wanting to get a set of nice center-bolt valve-covers to spiff up the engine bay. They have to clear long-tube runners if that makes a difference... Any good suggestions of photos? I like the Proform black "crinkle" finish...anybody have those? Anyways, if you have time to post your pics, I'd love to see them.

Not sure where to look at the pics... Did you have any clearance issues with the tall covers and the intake runners? Thanks!

Get whatever rocks your boat.
They'll all clear the runners.

Even the "tall" valve covers? Thanks!

Re: TPI Valve Covers

What about the alternator, specifically the stud sticking out the back of it? I know on my car it's really close to the stock valve cover, and I don't think tall ones would clear.

Re: TPI Valve Covers

Yeah, I don't think those would clear on a serpentine setup. The accessories are closer to the engine, and I'm pretty sure the alternator output stud would hit.

Re: TPI Valve Covers

I put Edelbrock Elite talls on my car. They cleared the alternator stud by about 1/16. I wasn't comfortable with that so I cut the stud down.

I like those VCs also. Are they a pain to keep clean?

Not really. I just polish everything under my hood once or twice a year.
