Stock RPM Limiter is generally set around 10,000 rpm on TPI cars, meaning a governor is programmed into the ECM functions, but not used because the calibration value is so high. I set the fuel shut-off on my stock bottem end, small cam, vortec head TPI engine for 6,250 rpm and due to a failing 700r4 touched it too many times to count.
