You'll have to disable the EGR in the prom to prevent it from throwing a code and it's been quite a while but I believe there's something else that should be changed for the A.I.R. pump.

No there isn't. Most people just do it for the ease it provides of working on the engine.

The engine with all its stuff on is easy to work on. The things that are a tight fit under the hood have nothing to do with emissions.

The AIR Diverter Valve on my car gets in the way sometimes, but it comes off with two bolts removed, the plastic cover over the connectors removed, then de-mate the connectors. Removing and re-installing the valve adds ten minutes to the job.

re: TPI emissions....i want them gone!

i had to delete the stock smog pump to install a corvette short aluminum water pump
i had to delete the lower half of the serpintine bracket on the side infact
nice being able to have a 25 dollar aluminum water pump compared to a 80 dollar one

First, This is a pretty common topic.

Second, its completely illegal to remove the emissions devices on a street car in the United States. What you've basically said is the current laws are not enough to stop you, so the lawmakers need to write tougher laws to punish us all. Thanks!

oh HA HA..some ppl really are just environmental freaks...i dont think its a big deal...maybe if everyone else started doing it but the way newer vehicles these days are designed emissions wise thats not a problem. i just dont want all that clutter under my hood so it doesnt look like ***.

Its not clutter, the complexity looks good to me.

lol but not all cars look like that under the hood...try getting to the exhaust manifold to change it or taking off your pass side valve cover.

My basic point was they can look like that easier than you think!
But yea, you got to finesse things alittle more when working on it.

Re: TPI emissions....i want them gone!

The best reason to leave it on there is resale value. An unmolested car with all it's original equipment will be more valuable. If you do take it off, save it.

When the law makers get done, we will all have electric cars and these oldies will be bought up and crushed for a gov rebate. Just hope that they will be old enough to be antiques and not just junk.
