Using '85 TPI Fuel Rail on '89+ car HELP!

Here is my big dilemna lately...

I am trying to put a fuel rail from a '85 9th injector car onto a '91 TA, no 9th injector. I need to plug the 9th injector spot so fuel doesn't shoot out of there at 50psi (bad). The '85 rail was all I could snag at the junkyard, original rail is MIA, got to work with what I have here.

The '85 rail has a plug in the back end of the drivers side rail for the 9th injector (pic) and what I think I would need to do is either get a screw in plug that would be the male thread size of the red area in the pic or find a female thread end cap for the blue area in the pic.

Problem is : No one knows what thread sizes these are and I have gone to multiple automotive stores and hardware stores even...

Can someone tell me what each thread size is?

Also, in my opinion it would be better to cap off the blue thread, that way the factory plug with the o-ring for extra sealing would be there, but please, any help is appreciated this is the one thing holding me back right now.

Re: Using '85 TPI Fuel Rail on '89+ car HELP!

Saw this in an earlier thread:
"Get a 16MM oil drain plug, saw off the unthreaded part with a hacksaw, and get a copper washer, 5/8" I think. Then use the washer and plug to plug the end of the fuel rail. I also used Loctite Blue just to make sure."

Cost is about $5. Worth trying.

Go to eBay, search for "tpi fuel kit". For about $40.00 shipped you'll get both the injector and rail plugs.

Also, Street and Performance sells a block off kit. http://www.hotrodlane.cc
