High Performance Pontiac Oct 09 TPI Torture Test..

Anyone see this article?

Was a 6 inch rod 355 buildup using Vortec heads, two roller cams and four intakes.

The part I thought was interesting was that the long runner TPI made 416hp and 486ft lbs of torque. Can't ever remember seeing a TPI motor make over 400hp. I would assume thats enough to put one of these cars in the 11's and still maintain good mileage and street manners.

I have that issue but I was thinking that those numbers did seem a bit high. You are right, with traction and a good driver, you would see HIGH 11's in our cars. Still a sight to see.
