I have an iroc with the 350 tpi that I am bringing out of a 10 year sleep. I have changed the fuel pump, fuel filter, injectors, and cleaned out the fuel tank. After I changed all of that the car would start, idle and rev up like a dream, a leaking brake hose kept me from drive it.
A day or two after getting it running it started to run a bit ruff like it was starving for fuel, I figured it was just a dirty fuel filter from left over trash in the tank. I changed the fuel filter out and now it will turn over but doesnt even try to start. If I press the shreader valve then I can hear air come out. I tried to get the air out of the lines by turning the key to the run position about 3 times then letting the air out through the shreader valve and repeating this over and over about 20 times. I would eventually get gas but then after a couple times of priming the pump and releasing the pressure I would get a little air again. I tried to start it when it was getting fuel and it seemed to instantly go back to just air when I do.
Sorry for the long post guys but I wanted to give you as much info as I could........

i had a similar problem. when i changed my fuel pump i used a a piece of high pressure hose to attach to the end of the pump. but aparently that was the wrong kind of hose. because is got completely destroyed and the pump was just sucking air. it sounds like the pump is working...maybe the rubber hose disintegrated and the pump is just pumping air...

I hope thats not the problem, its not fun getting that tank in and out. I changed that hose also but I changed it out with fuel hose so it should stand up to the gas fine.
The thing that confuses me is that the car would run before I changed the fuel filter, it ran ruff but it ran. One thing that may be worth mentioning, I didn't get the outlet side of the filter tight enough and I noticed it started leaking fuel when I tried to start the car. I fixed that by tightening the line up on the filter.
