Where's the best place to get a TPI Injector and what brand?

I might need a single TPI injector to get my Trans Am running right again and I'm pretty much flat broke so I was wondering if you guys knew where I could get a decent and reliable TPI fuel injector for less then the $80 some that Advance Autoparts is asking for? Also what is a good brand to stick with the remaining stock GM (AC Delcos?) fuel injectors?

Would you have any reccomendations?

Do a search for Fuel Injection Conection. I'm quite sure they can fix you up for a very reasonable price.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/VNM-HP-619-8/ this is what i run. youre 305 too, should work but a whole swap would be needed. theyre rated 10% more flow for extra horsepower. but replacing one would off set the whole shabang. post your description on the tech-forum, this guy(SpitotRs305) he'll help you, tell him i refered you.

I RECENTLY BOUGHT A SET OF ACCEL BRAND FUEL INJECTORS 21# FROM JEGS. THEY WERE $278.00 DELIVERED. THE TECH I TALKED TO AT JEGS LOOKED IT UP AND SAID THESE WERE CORRECT FOR A 350 TPI (89). THEY WORK GRAET, VERY HAPPY.

I have one that may have went bad. (Still trying to diabnose the problem.) I have a 305 though. Wouldn't 24lb be too much? They're for the 350 correct?

For real? That's a very generous offer. How many lbs and how old/used/what's it out of?

Thanks for all the great suggestions and offers! I still have to figure out what my problem actually is. It might not be a fuel injector at all. I don't know for sure. I'm going out to do a OHM test and check all the lines right now.

Chart explanation: OHMs reading - (Passenger side)Cylinder__Cylinder (Drivers side) - OHMs reading

16.6 - 8________7 - 11.6

3.9 - 6________5 - 16.1

16.1 - 4________3 - 14.7

10.7 - 2________1 - 15.3

Note: Cylinder 6 fluctated from 3.9 to 4.0, and Cylinder 3 fluctuated from 14.8 to 14.8.

Hot...
11.0 - 8________7 - 11.5

1.8 - 6________5 - 16.7

11.5 - 4________3 - 12.0

8.3 - 2________1 - 13.3

The readings were alot lower when it warmed up, and they were all over the place. None of them were within .5 like I heard someone say in a youtube tutorial.

What does all this mean?

Re: Where's the best place to get a TPI Injector and what brand?

irocuroc is right, you need a full set of injectors.
you have one that is checking ok, #5. the rest are junk.

with a good set of injectors, the ECM sees around 6~7 amps of current.
with the hot resistance you gave, the ECM is seeing around 16 amps of current. sooner or later that will kill the ECM.
i just recently had a 91 vette that ran so bad, it had to be towed to the
shop. the injectors in it were not as bad as yours are.
i put a set of Bosch 3s in it and it fired up and ran great, the owner said its been years since it idled that smooth.

i don't know if they make the Bosch 3s in 19 pound or not.
you can contact either southbay or FIC to find out.
