my 89 305tpi camaro has a problem. when i first start it up( motor is cold) it drives and runs fine. when i shut the car off and go to start it again (motor is warm) it wont start. its at the shop and they tested the wires that cap on to the fuel injectors and when hot the light is very dim compared to very bright when cold. they just put in a new distributor, ignition coil so its not an ignition problem...... starting to think that the problem is the coolant temp sensor, the wire that connects to it is a little corroded and i think it might be bad itself.....someone please give me some answers so i drive my car
They tested for voltage across the injector plugs and noticed a voltage drop relating to engine temp
How in the hell can you relate that to a faulty distributor
2) How the hell is a CTS remotely related to a 'no hot start' issue? Faulty CTS is code 14 BTW
If the two wire CTS to the ECM is corroded and you have no code, then there is no issue. If the ECM cannot get a good reading within its specs it WILL throw a code 14
If the single wire CTS on the drivers side head is corroded or unplugged for that matter, nothing will happen relating to starting/running. Its sole purpose is to drive the gauge
I agree with Pocket.
ECM, ICM, and associated wiring.
When I had HOT Start issues it turned out to be the fuel pump relay >> only 20 bucks... start cheap or gank off your ECM and have autozone test it for free! Let us know...
