TPI SWAP 87 GTA`

HEY GUYS, I HAVE BEEN A READER OF THE SITE FOR A WHILE. I HAD A 87 GTA THAT WAS WREAKED IN A UNFORTNATE WAY. SO I DECEIDED TO SWAP IT INTO ONE OF MY S-10S. THE SWAP IS COMPLETE,BUT I AM CHASING WHAT I THINK IS A FUEL PROBLEM. I HAVE CHECKED ALL THE PIN-OUTS AND THEY COME UP CORRECT. I HAVE A EXTERNAL FUEL PUMP GAGE ON THE FUEL RAIL. IT COMES UP TO THE RIGHT PRESSURE AT KEY ON,AND IT IDLES AT THE RIGHT PRESSURE. WHAT MY PROBLEM IS THAT ABOUT FIVE MINS OR SO IN TO RUN TIME IT WILL LOSE FUEL PRESSURE AT @1500 RPMS LIKE 15 PSI THEN JUST DIE OFF COMPLETELY. THE SCANNER WILL NOT PICK UP ANY CODES AND I AM LOST. FROM WHAT I BELIEVE TO KNOW IS THAT THERE IS NO SHUT OFF FOR THE FUEL PUMP OTHER THEN OIL PRESSURE AND THIS IS IS WORKING CORRECTLY. I KNOW BECAUSE I WIRED UP THE PUMP OFF A FUSED TOGGLE SWITCH. WHEN I CLAMP THE LINES SUPPLY AND RETURN THERE IS NO PRESSURE DROP SO I DONT THINK I HAVE A O-RING OR A PRESSURE REG PROBLEM. THE PRESSURE WITH THE RETURN LINE JUST CLAMPED IT BILDS SO IM AM F----ING LOST.I KNOW ITS NOT A GTA ANYMORE BUT I'M STILL RUNNING THE TPI.IT WAS ALWAYS A GREAT MOTOR AND I LOVED THE CAR AND I WILL HAVE ANOTHER.ANYBODY THAT COULD SHED SOME LIGHT ON THIS WOULD BE GREAT. ONE MORE THING THIS SITE HAS SOME OF THE BEST INFO THAT I HAVE EVER FOUND...CHEVY THUNDER IS PRETTY GOOD TO IF ANY ONE NEEDS WIRING OR PIN-OUTS.

???? CLOGGED FUEL FILTER, NEED 35 LB FOR TPI. YOU LOSE 15LB OR IT IS 15LB???

THANKS FOR THE RESPONSE...IT HAS 42PSI WITH THE KEY ON....IT HAS 39 AT A IDLE...AFTER IT IDLES FOR ABOUT FIVE MINS AND I TRY TO BRING UP THE RPMS IT BLOGS AT 1500 RPMS AND I CAN WATCH THE FUEL PRESSURE GAGE THAT IS MOUNT ON THE RAIL DROP TO ABOUT 15 TO 20 PSI AND THEN GO TO ZERO...I WAIT A FEW SECONDS AND START IT UP IT IS FINE FOR A FEW THEN AGAIN THIS...I HAVE SPARK, PULSE,GROUNDS AND 12V'S WHERE NEEDED....THE FUEL TANK,LINES, FILTER ARE ALL NEW I DID A FRAME UP... I HAD IT ON A SCANNER AND EVERYTHING IS READING WITH IN NORMAL.. I ALSO DID THE PINCH TEST ON THE LINES. IF ANYBODY CAN HELP THANK YOU IN ADVANCE...

WELL I GOT A NEW PUMP AND EVERYTHING IS FINE.IT HAD THE PRESSURE BUT COULD NOT HANDLE THE VOLUME. IT WAS THE CORRECT PUMP . I GUESS I GOT A BAD ONE FROM THE FACTORY . THANKS GUYS
