i bought a fuel pump to put in my car that has never been run b4. I put in a tpi motor. i cut the tan wire and put a circuit tester on it and it is getting power when it should be priming.
im thinking it might be shorting out in the tank - how do i test this theory - and is it inside the pump or in the wires?
thanks

you can send direct power to it thought the obd plug under the dash hook up a wire from the positive side of the battery and plug it into the far left side of the plug it cant remember if its the top or bottom but one of them will send power to the fuel pump u should hear it come on. its in the haynes manuel if you have one.
