Car: 1990 Trans Am GTA Engine: 350(5.7L) Transmission: 700R4 Axle/Gears: 3.23 posi | fuel pump wiring II Was out and about yesterday and the car got me to the place i wanted to go which wasn't very far from my place, maybe a 5 min drive. When i was ready to go home the fuel pump wasn't priming, and of course as no fuel was being fed the car wouldn't run, it started for a few minutes but died off when the remaining fuel in the lines was burnt off. I have pretty much boiled it down a wiring problem as EVERYTHING having to do with fuel and ignition is brand new, the pump is a Delco as is the pre-pump strainer. I seriously doubt its the fuel pump going bad already i have barely driven it since the new pump was installed.
my question now is, is there a "regular" spot where the wires might become exposed/corroded/old. So far i have checked out all the wiring on the inside of the car along the drivers door sill and it all looks to be in pretty good shape, the only places i have yet to look at are the pig tail behind the rear seats in front of the tank, and the wiring under the hood.
any info would be great
