will a car be drivable with a bad speed sensor?
Not sure where to post this but tomorrow im gonna be going to look at a 1988 pontiac trans am with 305 tpi and the guy said it needs a starter which i have and a speed sensor im wondering if i put the starter in and decide to buy it if ill be able to drive it home because towing it would probably cost more than what id be paying for the whole car lol any input would be appreciated and sorry if this is the wrong place to post the question

Should be fine other than a non-working speedometer. But, my experience with "guys that say" is buyer beware.

Might rev high or stall at lights because computer does not know what speed car is doing. Could also affect convertor lockup for same reason
