Please don't flame if this is a stupid question, Im definitely not claiming to be any mechanic here.
That being said: 1986 IROC-Z 350tpi/headers
The last owner barely swapped in a 350 (VERY CRAPPY JOB) and left my engine bay a mess with wires. The mechanics around here, (vermont and in upstate ny) cant seem to figure out just what the hell went on during the engine swap...My local trusted mechanic believes that a lot of issues im having with stalling is the MAF, which not only may be bad, but he said some of the wiring for it is disconnected...now, some wiring connector harnesses got burned on my headers and melted (believe it or not) so there's no hope of anything plugging in there..(will try to post pics up tomorrow or some sunny day I don't have work). Also have some other interesting wire setups to show you when i get pics up, but thats an unrelated issue.
My question is, is there anyway to just remove the MAF and not have to deal with this **** anymore?? Im tired of stalling out, and dont have the money to rewire the whole car, or switch to carb...so is there anyway to use the engine/ECU I have, but remove the MAF? Like special intakes or anything? Thanks in advance!
***EDIT*** Car stalls & High speed braking, stop lights, sharp turns, unless applying gas.

I believe since its tpi and maf is a big deal to just remove it. You would have to go carb. But i am not familar with tpi but i believe you just can't get rid of it. it controls your air flow.
I thought if I got a different air intake setup I wouldnt have to use it.
Carb
On your setup ,the MAF sensor is one of the major inputs to the computer; it reads how much air is going in so the computer can give the right amount of fuel. If faulty or missing engine will run like crap
How about plugging in used engine bay harness; always for sale in 3rd Gen parts section
